Pool Surgeons is a family owned business located in Myrtle Beach, SC. Pool Surgeons has been a “go to” reputable pool and spa business for over 25 years. We service Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle, Pawley’s Island, Murrell’s Inlet, and parts of North Carolina, including Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle Beach, and Carolina Shores.
Pool Surgeons strives to provide quality, trustworthy, and prompt service throughout the Grand Strand. Our goal is to make sure your pool is clean, safe, and beautiful.
Melissa Whitfield, Owner
Melissa is a former educator and graduate of The University of Georgia. She also spent some time at The University of South Carolina. She has two lovely daughters, Emily who attends Auburn University, and Meredith, who attends The College of Charleston.
Brandt Gasser
Brandt has 16 years of experience working as an aquatics engineer. He attended Socastee High School and Coastal Carolina University with a major in music, but found his passion working with the complexities of maintaining a natural ecosystem. He is our known concrete, leak, and plumbing expert, and is proficient in all aspects of diagnosing and repairing any problems involved with nearly all equipment related to pools. Brandt is part of a family of 6, which include his fiance, Brittany, and his 4 children, Darren, Zachary, Lyla, and Azlynn.
Ben Harris
Ben has been passionate about pools since high school, accumulating 15 years of experience in the field. For the past decade, he has been with Pool Surgeons, serving as an aquatics engineer. Ben graduated from Socastee High School and earned both an Associate in Science and an Associate in Arts from HGTC. As a single father to two children, Skii (7) and Braxton (4), Ben balances his personal and professional life with dedication. He is our go-to expert for electrical systems, controllers, and programming, demonstrating exceptional proficiency and knowledge in diagnosing and repairing almost any issue related to pools and pool equipment.
Kyle Sams
Kyle has 4 years of experience working with pools, from cleaning them to basic maintenance to ensure they’re in perfect running order. Kyle is our Pool Cleaning Chemist. If you’re having your pool resurfaced, you will see Kyle a lot with our resurfacing package. Kyle spends his weekends with close friends playing Dungeons and Dragons, and he also spends his early mornings in the gym and what spare time he does have playing video games.
Scott Parks
Scott is a 32-year-old local professional with a strong background in both the pool industry and construction. Over the past six years in the pool business, he has gained extensive hands-on experience in a wide range of services — including maintenance, cleaning, and installations. In addition, his expertise in construction, particularly with concrete and asphalt, has equipped him with a versatile and dependable skill set. A proud graduate of Socastee High School, Scott has built a solid foundation in technical work and practical problem-solving, making him a valuable asset to any project he takes on.
Sean Parks
Sean is a proud Myrtle Beach local with 6 years of experience in the pool industry. At 32, he’s not only dedicated to creating beautiful, crystal clear pools but also to his family, a loving husband and father of three. Sean takes great pride in his work, finding real satisfaction in seeing customers enjoy the results of a job well done.
Lex Morgan
Alexis Morgan, known by most as Lex, grew up in Northern Virginia and carries a strong foundation of discipline and dedication from her service in the U.S. Army as an aviation specialist. Now a proud veteran, Lex brings that same focus and work ethic to the pool industry. She specializes in pool cleaning, water balancing, and keeping every pool sparkling, safe, and perfectly maintained.
Lex is committed to delivering reliable, high-quality service while building great relationships with her customers. When she’s not out in the field, she enjoys spending time with her wife and daughter, Lakelynn — and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, because she believes loyalty builds character, and so does disappointment.
